Recently we went to a local park with a good friend, and fellow homeschooler. The girls played for a bit but eventually found their way down to the field, and small stream running through it. They hunted for toads, or a tadpoles, but found no toads, and couldn’t catch any of the tadpoles.
However they did find a small harvest of eggs.
Look at those tiny eggs!
I agreed they could bring them home in exchange for them researching how care for them until they become toads (or frogs?), and we release them back to the pond.
We’ve returned to the stream every couple of days to get fresh water, and look forward to their progression!
